The latest news about the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2029

The 3rd Symposium World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 will take place on March 3, 2026. The symposium will be held in Chur at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden.
People who accompany our athletes during sports or leisure activities open doors. To find and support them, the “close to them” project will launch in 2026.
We are very pleased that three more important positions have been filled with Sarina Künzli (photo left), Nicole Riso (photo middle) and Aldo Doninelli (photo right).
The 3rd information event for the World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 took place at Letzigrund in Zurich with over 150 participants.
WWG2029’s social engagement extends beyond the Winter Games. We would like to contribute to the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
First workplace in Chur: In April, we were able to move into our first workplace in the Somedia building in Chur. Searching for premises in Zurich.
We accompanied the World Winter Games Turin 2025 with our photo/video team in order to recruit a group of athletes from different countries as Athlete Ambassadors for the World Winter Games Switzerland 2029.
