As a Founding Partner of Special Olympics International, Coca-Cola has supported and shaped the global Special Olympics movement from the very beginning. This long-standing commitment continues with its engagement in Switzerland 2029, reinforcing Coca-Cola’s role as a key global partner of the movement. As an Official Partner, The Coca-Cola Company joins the highest sponsorship category, with extensive activation and communication rights, as well as industry exclusivity.
Chur, May 4, 2026 – The Special Olympics World Winter Games are proud to welcome Novartis, a leading global innovative medicines company, as an Official Partner of the 2029 Games in Switzerland. The long-term partnership will run from 2026 to 2030.
Switzerland 2029 is strengthening its partnerships: With Kuoni Tumlare, an internationally experienced partner is taking over the planning and implementation of accommodations for athletes, delegations, and guests.
The partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship: it combines business expertise in the sports retail sector with a clear social commitment to inclusion and sustainable impact.
Preparations for the 2029 Special Olympics Switzerland World Winter Games are picking up significantly. With the signing of the hosting agreement, growing international interest, and the launch of the redesigned website, Switzerland is entering the next phase of preparations. These Games represent much more than just a sporting event: they are a powerful symbol of inclusion, connection, and unity.
The 3rd Symposium World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 will take place on March 3, 2026. The symposium will be held in Chur at the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden.
People who accompany our athletes during sports or leisure activities open doors. To find and support them, the “close to them” project will launch in 2026.
